In support of the Stroke Association, Michael Taylor, accompanied by his four sons, is taking on an epic rowing challenge - Stroke for Stroke.

In August 2012 our Dad, Michael Taylor, suffered a severe stroke. He then spent the next 6 weeks in hospital recovering and re-teaching his body how to perform basic day-to-day motor skills.

Prior to the stroke, Michael had maintained a high level of fitness and even in his 60s was regularly seen climbing, skiing, riding bikes or generally working up a good appetite. The result being that any loss of mobility was considered a significant 'inconvenience'.

It was no surprise therefore that not long thereafter, Dad decided that it was time to dust off his sweatband and get back to work. A marathon, he thought....

The event will be a “marathon” to be performed on ergometers located on the side of the river Thames at Putney on July 26th 2014.
