3 Peak National Challenge · 22 September 2018

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

We are a group of staff of mixed professions from ward 31 stroke unit at Manchester Royal infirmary.

Our team feel that this is an amazing opportunity to build on our team working skills and achieve an excellent level of fitness at the same time. We believe that its really important for the patients and families we work with to see their treating team setting an excellent example of teamwork, motivation, hardwork, overcoming challenges and valuing physical fitness and healthy living.

The Stroke Association is an organisation which has always had a very strong connection to our working lives. Our ward has always had an excellent relationship with the stroke association and we have great respect for the enduring support they provide to our client group and their relatives and friends.

We are all working hard on our individual training programmes aswell as planning 2 shorter training climbs together before the main event!

We would appreciate any donations for this tough challenge ahead for such an amazing cause!
