At Stroud Resourcing, we pledge to give back to our community and to wider society. We have committed to promoting awareness beyond our own lifespan and to preserving the planet. The 'Stroud Litter Picker Project' is our first dedicated project supporting our pledge, where each business quarter, the Stroud team will voluntarily litter pick around our local city of York.

Any litter removed from a natural ecosystem helps wildlife, and creates a better space for humans too! Litter is known to negatively impact your sense of community and can make people feel less safe. By picking it up, we want to show pride for community we love, as well as the planet. 

Each financial year we select a charity to support with our fundraising activities. We are pleased to announce that our Charity of choice for 2021-22 is Mind, the mental health charity.

Mental health has never been highlighted more than during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we’re glad this issue is gaining more attention. 74% of adults have admitted that they felt so stressed during 2020 they were unable to cope, and on average 18 people take their own life every day – it’s the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in this country, which is horrifying. What’s more, these problems are much more likely to affect those already most vulnerable in our society: ethnic minority groups, young people, and those in poverty. It’s for these reasons we’ve decided to support the important work Mind do.

We’re looking forward to supporting Mind this year, and we’re currently in the process of reviewing our own practices to ensure that workplace wellbeing is always at the forefront of what we do.
