Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

After a few years off, the Strug-Glynn  team will once again be competing in this years Kilworth Challenge staged on the second Bank Holiday weekend in May. The team this year consists of old hats Paul & Darren along with two new recruits in Nick & Jamie. The Kilworth Challenge is a two day event that sees each team covering a course of in excess of 30 miles, undertaking imaginative challenges each mile such as assault courses, mental agility & dexterity puzzles. (See picture for example!)

The first challenge being to raise as many funds as possible and present your total amount raised on the morning of the first day. The Kilworth Challenge has raised nearly £700,000 since it was first run in 1990. In 2008 £88k was raised. One of this years key beneficiaries is Over The Wall, an amazing charity linked to Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall charity, that provides summer camps for children with cancer and other life limiting diseases.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Kilworth Challenge gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you so much for your support

Paul, Darren, Nick & Jamie
