The world famous Virgin Money London Marathon is back on the 26th April 2020. By taking on the world renowned 26.2 miles as part of Team Age UK, you are stepping up to make a crucial difference to the lives of older people across the UK.

Story

Dementia is a life changing illness. It not only effects the sufferer, but equally and as importantly, devastates the lives of those living with it. Age UK have supported my family providing much needed support and without their help, things would be much more difficult for us. I can only urge you to help me in this cause, and thank you for your generosity and goodwill. You have no idea how much difference this will make.

Most people will feel lonely at some point in their lives. It’s a deeply personal experience that - in most cases - will thankfully pass. Sadly, 2.65m older people feel they have no one to turn to for help and around 3.9m older people consider TV to be their main form of company. Donating to this page will help the national Age UK to continue providing vital services that offer companionship, advice and support for older people facing later life alone.
