Story

The family are embarking on a fundraising challenge to support the development of the artificial pancreas which will help young people around the world with Type1 diabetes live healthier lives.

We start in November and it culminates at the London Marathon on 28th April 2019.

James was diagnosed with T1D three weeks before his 13th birthday & rushed into children’s A&E.

Since then he has benefited from an amazing JDRF funded project to help develop the artificial pancreas. He is one of many young people across the UK, particularly in Nottingham, Leeds and Cambridge, who are on a 'closed loop' system. This continuously monitors blood sugar levels and adds background insulin if needed.

The trial could lead to a huge break through for those living with Type1 - please give us support.
