I have recently become a trustee of the Hammersmith Youth Zone, one of the youth facilities being developed in the UK by the charity OnSide. For those not familiar with OnSide, it funds, builds, launches and supports a network of state-of-the-art, multimillion-pound youth centres, called Youth Zones, in the UK’s most disadvantaged areas. These are incredible spaces filled with energy, inspiration and highly skilled youth workers who truly believe in young people.

As part of learning about OnSide I had the privilege to visit the centre in Croydon that is already up and running and in need of support to ensure it can continue to have a positive impact on the lives of young people.
