Nearly two years ago our son Alexander was born deaf. Like every parent you want your child to be perfectly healthy. When you get bad news like this it takes a while for it to sink in, and then you start realising how this will affect him forever more. Coping with his disability has been the hardest thing we've had to do. Like all parents in our situation you worry about the future, his education, making friends, you worry about Him being teased because of his disability. Thankfully NCDS and Sound Friends have been there for us, and for many other families out there in the same situation. They provide education, support and activities for the whole family to help try them adjust to  and overcome the difficulties that lie ahead. Jumping out at 13000 ft is our way of trying to help these organisations help other families
