Stuart's Marmotte Alps Legbuster

Marmotte Gran Fondo Alpes · 3 July 2022
On the 3rd July this year I will be cycling what many consider to be one of the toughest cycling events in the world. After spending hours and hours on my bike training I hope to be able to overcome the 177 kilometres and 5,000 altimeters up five of the most legendary passes in France: the Glandon, the Telegraph, the Galibier, the Lautaret, and finally the final ascent of Alpe d’Huez with its famous 21 hairpin bends.
One thing is for certain, it will take all day and hurt like hell. So along the way I would like to know I am raising some money for a good cause. The SDCS is a charity very close to our heart as our daughter Darcey is moderately deaf in one ear and mildly deaf in her other ear and the charity is always working hard to put on events and support local children with a hearing impairment. We have greatly benefited from the efforts and we hope others will continue to do so too.
Like a lot of small charities it is run on love and managed by a very few strong volunteers and funds are always tight. It would be fantastic if a few of you would donate even a small amount to contribute to the amazing and fantastic work they do.
