Outlaw Holkham Half Ironman · 4 July 2021
I’m taking part in the Holkham Outlaw Half Ironman on July 4th as part of Home Run to raise money for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered, a global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for underserved young people in our communities, particularly girls, women and people with visual impairments, providing opportunities to learn new skills and improve their chances of getting a job or starting their own business.
Funds raised through my challenge will be donated to The Standard Chartered Foundation for Futuremakers projects which create economic opportunities for young people in the areas of education, employability and entrepreneurship. This is an incredible initiative that is already helping some of those hardest hit by the economic impact of Covid19 to make a better future for themselves and their families.
So here’s the plan…
I’ll put in the work. I’ll train hard, keep you updated on my progress and also share stories from some of the young people already benefiting from Futuremakers programmes so that you can see where your money is going. All I need you to do is to kindly make a donation and help to make a brighter future for the next generation. Furthermore, Standard Chartered Bank is matching donations up to USD5million each year meaning that your donations can go even further! Donations are completely voluntary - no amount is too small (though we’d love some big ones too) and I am just as happy if you want to cheer me on with a simple message on my blog.
