The Educational Frontier Trust (TEFT) supports Kisima Mixed Secondary School, which is a free residential school in Kenya for disadvantaged young people. It is among the top-performing schools in the country, with 94% of the students achieving a university entrance grade (national average 20%).

Story

Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I know everyone finds these a bit of a pain but it's for a good cause - honestly!

I will be cycling 150 miles Coast to Coast from Whitehaven to Sunderland at the beginning of May.

I will be part of a team cycling to raise money for Kisima Secondary School which provides secondary education to 160 children from the Northern Frontier District of Kenya, one of the most remote and neglected areas of the world.

These children will be the future leaders of their communities and it is hoped that through education they will feel empowered to make lasting and sustainable changes to end decades of strife, war and dependency.

Kisima is now in its seventh year and its success has been impressive - it currently ranks 66th among all the secondary schools in the country.  Kisima is funded by The Educational Frontier Trust (TEFT), a small charity run by volunteers which ensures that all money donated goes directly to the school.

Kisima could not survive without the money raised by TEFT, so please sponsor us now - it will make the long slog far easier knowing that others share our vision.

The attached video gives more information on the work of Kisima.
