Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Seeing the impact a pair hearing aids can have for an individual, as they are once again able communicate with those around them, can be truly amazing.. Sometimes sufferers of hearing loss require more than hearing aids; a Hearing Dog can alert that person to important sounds like smoke alarms and traffic. A hearing dog can also give that person the confidence they need to be able to lead a fulfilling and independent life.

Training and providing care for hearing dogs doesn’t come cheap so we want to raise money for this very worthy cause.

Lisa McCall and I have committed to compete in Gelt Gladiator on June 9th 2019 – 6 kilometers of running through mud and obstacles. If we don’t achieve this target by the end of our 6 km mudbath we will continue to raise funds until we do. Please give generously, a Hearing dog can make such a difference to someone who needs one.
