Suffolk Accident Rescue Service volunteers provide an enhanced resource to help treat critically ill patients who need urgent specialist care before they reach hospital. All our doctors and paramedics volunteer without charge and we rely on voluntary donations to support our life-saving activity.

Story

We are challenging ourselves to raise money for the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service in order to help them with the good work they do in our region.

SARS is a small emergency medical charity, providing specialist volunteer responders to assist the East Anglian Ambulance Service at the scene of the most serious medical emergencies or traumas. SARS receives no funding from central government and is reliant on groups and individuals within the Suffolk community to help build their resources and treat more patients.

When brainstorming fundraising ideas we tried to think what it is that represents Suffolk the best and captures the essence of the county's landscape?.....

The obvious answer was of course .....mountains! Or the lack there of!

So we set ourselves the challenge to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowden within 24 hours. Ollie (aged 11), Freddie (aged 9) and myself (age somewhat older) will be training hard over the next few weeks to prepare for the challenge and hope that your support will motivate us in our challenge and raise much needed funds for this great charity.
