Back in June 2018 my company Balfour Beatty started work on the Hinkley C Power Station connection scheme in north Somerset. Being based in the area we are very proud to support Weston Hospicecare, a local charity providing palliative care for people living with life-limiting illness in Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas. The charity provides invaluable support both to patients and their families. Whilst the care provided is free of charge, it relies largely on funding through local community donations. I am therefore proud to have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon and raise funds on their behalf.

After running a number of half marathons in recent years this will be my first and definitely last marathon. Any donation that can be given for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated by myself, Balfour Beatty and Western Hospicecare
