The Prince's Trust - Palace to Palace 2008 · 7 September 2008 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Hello visitors!

I have decided to embark on a 50 mile cycle journey from Buckingham Palace, to Windsor Castle.  I'm not making the journey for tea with the Queen, but for the Princes Trust Charity and so require your assistance in raising as much money as possible in charitable donations.

To make things a little more interesting and harder, I will be completing (hopefully) my entire journey on a fixed gear bike.  For non techies, a fixed gear has no gears, and the pedals constantly turn with the rear wheel, so I wont be able to cheat and freewheel when I'm tired or change into a lower gear when going up hills.  It also means that I will be pedalling 100% of the way, up and downhill - I can't wait!

It would be great if you could make the forthcoming aches and pains worthwhile, and donate a small sum.  I would also really appreciate it, and like ASDA's corny advert say's; every little helps!

Cheers,

Stuart
