Story
Hi! This summer I am running the Great Manchester Run in May, as well as the Darlington 10km in August.
I'm doing this in support of Alzheimer's Society who are a fantastic charity, researching against a disease which has had a horrible impact on my family in recent years. My grandparents have both battled dementia. I tragically lost my Grandmother to the disease in May last year, whilst my Grandad is currently receiving fantastic care for it too.
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK's leading dementia support and research charity. We fight for the rights of everyone affected by dementia. Our campaigns keep dementia firmly at the top of the political agenda. And we raise awareness, pushing for a more dementia-friendly society so people with the condition can live without fear and prejudice.
