Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis, we are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

Story

Last summer, my sister Nancy lost her life to Meningococcal Septicaemia (MenW). Since then, there has been lots of money raised in her memory, however, there is still very little known about this deadly disease that can kill in hours. By raising money for 'Meningitis Research' we will be able to support the research needed to eradicate this horrendous disease, hoping that one day no more lives will be lost and hearts broken.

Nancy was a kind, intelligent, brave, funny and warm hearted individual, and when planning to do something to raise money in her memory, I wanted to do something that would need the determination, adventurous attitude and drive that Nancy possessed. However, I'm not nearly brave enough to attempt something as bold as skydiving, so I thought... what about cycling 54 miles?!  So Stuart and I both eagerly signed up, and now look forward to setting off from Clapham Common on 11th September at 6.30am to cycle to Brighton.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, and please donate, not matter how small the amount!
