Story

When my daughter fell victim to an eating disorder we found that it was extremely difficult to get professional help. After 6 months of steady deterioration she was admitted as an inpatient at Rharian Fields. The staff were fantastic and I've no doubt that without them she wouldn't be here today. It became apparent very early on after her diagnosis that funding for services to treat eating disorders in the UK is completely inadequate. We also discovered that there are vast differences in the quality of care facilities between different PCTs. We were extremely fortunate to be given a place at Rharian Fields. They are a non-profit organisation whose service would benefit directly from any funds raised.

I had the idea of cycling three events. One was a long term ambition to cycle up Le Col de La Madone in France, which is a 3,200 feet climb. I completed this in May this year - I've got a YouTube film of this at    http://youtu.be/wg3zizWVsuM ( or search "cycling Le Col de La Madone"). The second is to ride the Virgin Money Cyclone in Northumberland, which has 4,000 feet of climbing over 68 miles. This is on June 20th. And the third ride is the Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive on June 27th. This has 3,100 feet of incline over the 81 mile course.

Any donations will be gratefully received and will help Rharian Fields carry on their great work.
