At the end of October I am taking part in Marie Curie Cancer Care’s ‘Tri-Jordan Challenge’ Some are walking, some are bicycling and some have chosen to climb on board native Arab horses. I am going for the latter!

We will be riding from Wadi Al Hajarah to Petra over a seven day period. This is approximately 30km a day and camping in the desert over night. Conditions will be pretty basic, very little water and diverse temperatures between midday and midnight.

We will meet up with our fellow fundraisers on the last day in Petra where we will have a free day to explore and doubtless nurse our saddle sores!

Marie Cure Cancer Care is the only cancer charity to give palliative nursing care, allowing terminally ill patients to die at home, surrounded by their loved ones. In Devon alone we have 72 nurses who provided over 40,000 hours of care to nearly 700 people last year. Ever pound we raise makes a real difference to this extraordinary charity

However I intend to cover all my costs and therefore every penny I raise will go straight to Marie Curie.
