First Off.... Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For Those of you who Didn't Know , I lost my Dad on the Piper Alpha Disaster on the 6th July 1988, Along with another 166 souls, that Never made it home that Night.Looking After the Piper Alpha Memorial in Aberdeen, Has been the responsibility of The  Families along with Donations,And Fund-raising Events,From Charities. The Aberdeen City Council Have Been Recieving Funds from the Charity "pound for the Piper" to Keep on top of the maintenance .So Money is constantly needed for Replenishing of the the Memorial Garden.

This July Will Mark the 30th Anniversary of the Tragedy. So in Support of the Charity -  "Pound for the Piper"  Which Raises money for the Memorial and Rose Gardens at Hazlehead Park Aberdeen -  I have Decided that Around Mid to late May This year, I will cycle Home to Buckie  From John O Groats, Which is The Furthest Northerly point in Scotland. The Bike Ride will be Over 200 miles, with over 8000ft Elevation. The ride will be completed In one sitting With the Support and Company from Some of my Cycling Club's Members            (Moray Cycling Racing Team),Which is Sponsored by Morlich Homes Buckie.I hope to complete The Ride within 13 Hours.

On the 6th of July 1991 the Memorial was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth. The Upkeep of the Gardens comes at a cost,And helping Pound for a Piper Fundraise will be a thank you from me for Helping Remember My Dad , And the others that didn't come Home.
