At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm riding my pedal bike from Scotland to Birmingham (the new home for the HSBC UK Bank) to raise money for Alzheimers Society. This event has been organised as part of the HSBC sponsorship of British Cycling and I'll be one of a Team of 8. We have roughly 300 miles to cycle over 3 days so the distance and terrain will be a challenge. We start the ride on 24th Sept 2017.

Alzheimers is a disease of the brain which is now more common than Cancer. Most people know someone who is affected by Alzheimers or Dementia in it's various forms and I'm very proud to support such a worthwhile cause.

I've been a Type-1 Diabetic for 36 years and in that time I've cycled a lot to help prevent long-term complications. I will overcome my Diabetes to make this event a success.

Please help me reach my target by donating to the cause.
