Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just giving page.
Some days at work can be incredibly tough! And emotional!
Dementia took it’s hold of one of the most beautiful, genteel, sweet and gentle friends that i’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Dementia, in all it’s variations, has got to be one of the cruelest, and vilest diseases. It rips open and chews up an individual’s personality and self respect. All memories and dreams are lost forever and it spits out any self worth and dignity that may have been left.
Dementia does not discriminate....It can invade anyone of us, at any time and it eventually leaves behind a void empty dark shell with no light. It’s undignified, incurable and depressing for those living with it and surrounded by it.
That’s why today, as i approach my fiftieth birthday later in the year, i’m attempting to raise some money for the charity that I work for, The Cholsey Day Centre. Many of our beautiful members are ‘Living with Dementia’ and i’d like to help raise some money so that we can continue to provide the services and care and respite for our gorgeous members and their families.
On Saturday 14th September ( weather dependant) I’ll be ‘flying into my fifties’ on a Tandem skydive to raise some much needed sponsorship for the The Cholsey Day Centre. Please help me to raise funds so that these amazing friends of mine, and their families, can continue to enjoy the great care and services that our local Day Centre offers.
Kissing and hugging you all in advance xxx
PS. ALL monies raised will go directly to The charity ❤️
