Great North Run 2018
Campaign by Guide Dogs (RCN Eng. & Wales 209617, Scot. SC038979, & IoM 1334)
The Great North Run is firmly established as the UK’s most popular half marathon, runners travel from far and wide to be part of this fantastic event.

Story

I've decided to take on the GNR and what better charity than this. My father in law Keith before passing away ran a marathon for guide dogs and donations at his funeral also bought Echo the guide dog in memory of Keith. Thought I would do my bit to help this worthy cause. If u can spare a penny, pound, ten or hundred it will be truly appreciated.

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.

Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
