Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our son Sam was diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum in 2018, with the help of the National Autistic Society.  This was all very new to us, and we didn’t really know where to start to understand Sam, but again the National Autistic Society were there to help, with their Early Bird Plus course, which helps parents to understand and cope with autism.  We have experienced first hand that autism is still a very misunderstood condition and the work that the NAS does to help raise awareness and understanding is amazing.

So when I saw the opportunity to join the Spectrum Night Walk to raise money for the NAS, I jumped at the chance.  I’ll be taking on the longest of the walks on the 6th April 2019, walking 15km around London.  I’m not the fittest or the most active of people so whilst 15km may not sound like a lot, it will be more than I have walked in a long time!
