The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) is farming’s oldest charity working across England and Wales. Our aim is that no-one from the farming community should face adversity alone. We provide tailored advice, access to counselling, practical and financial support, and so much more.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The only certainty in farming is the uncertainty the farming I'm excited along with my colleagues and supporters in raising awareness on support available to individuals and families from the farming sector for when those difficult times arise, ensuring they are not alone.

Extreme Weather, illness, accidents, animal disease, family breakdown, bereavement and our current COVID19 crisis  are just some of circumstances where R.A.B.I. can step in and support through challenging times.

A bit about the challenge that we've set ourselves .... we'll be setting off at 07.30 from Cynwyd towards  the shores of Bala lake then  West to the sea at Barmouth following  the coast North past
Harlech Castle with spectacular coastal views towards the Lleyn
peninsular. We'll then be heading  North to Beddgellert (bit bumpy and into the BG gorge which is beautiful. From BG, we climb steadily up to the base of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) past two lakes. From Snowdon, we descend rapidly on the great value descent to Betws-y-Coed.

After climbing out of Betws on the A5 for 16 miles , we turn south onto the Ysbyty Ifan & Ffestiniog mountain road to climb steadily for24 miles with further views of Snowdon its then the last 30 miles home ....phew!

Thanks and Best Wishes
