I'm taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge for Saint Michael's Hospice in September to support families living with terminal illness and bereavement across the Harrogate district.

In January our family received the devastating news that there was nothing more that could be done for Brenda who had been living with cancer for 4 years.

Saint Michael's stepped in and supported us all to enable Brenda to die where she wanted, at Saint Michael's hospice in a dignified and personal way.

She loved her final weeks being there, the staff could not do more for her and she loved the 3 course meals!

We are grieving our loss, but not her death.

Brenda knew I was going to complete this challenge to raise money to ensure others are able to receive the care and support she did in their final days and weeks.
