Story
If you know, you know, and I'd be so grateful to everyone and anyone who would support me on this fundraising challenge. There are so many worthwhile charities out there, all vying for hard-earned funds, so anything you can give, no matter the size, will help ease the path for those that follow.
I'm taking on the Cycle 274 Miles in August challenge and turning my summer into something meaningful. I'm committing to cycle 274 miles across the month—matching the £274 it takes to fund 10% of a full day of vital research at a Centre of Excellence.
By backing my miles, you are directly raising the funds needed for life-changing breakthroughs, while helping to shine a light on the stark reality that brain tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40.
Brain Tumour Research is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet, to date, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
