Hunts Blind supports visually impaired people across Huntingdonshire to live as independently as possible and stay connected with their local community. We provide free advice and practical support, including home visits, mobility and visual aids, technology support, and inclusive social groups.

Story

Well we made it, and I didn't push my bike once!! It was a fantastic and humbling experiance, but also very challenging at times. I would like to thank all the co-cyclists, who were so supportive of us novices. We learnt a lot from them about cycling and they kept our spirits up through out the whole trip. I also want to thank David for his support, humour and encouragement along the way. I would not have done it without him by my side (actually he was ahead of me most of the time!)

As I hit my 50th birthday this year, I wanted to do something challenging and amazing, yet also raise money for a local charity. Huntingdon Society for The Blind is a small charity with a big heart, which supports blind and partially sighted people in the local area both in a very practical, but also caring way. I feel I have fulfilled the main aim of the trip.

Many thanks to all of you who have helped me to raise over £2,500, and also to those people yet to donate........
