According to UNICEF there are currently 153 million orphaned children around the world. Many live in poverty, never knowing if they will get enough food, clothing, or the medicine they desperately need, with little or no chance to ever go to school.

Orphans and young children are one of the most vulnerable groups in the world, and face multiple child protection risks, including psychosocial distress, child labour, child marriage and other forms of exploitation and abuse.

As a group of 9 friends we have decided to do our bit by raising funds for Human Appeal UK this Ramadhan to support at least 45 orphans in Kashmir, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria and Yemen.

How can you make a difference?

£420 can cover all the essential needs of an orphaned child including:

•Nutritious food

•Clean water

•Clothing

•Medical care

•Education

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “I and the one who takes care of an orphan will be in Paradise like these two” - and he gestured with his forefinger and middle finger, holding them apart.
