Glasgow Kiltwalk 2023 · 30 April 2023 ·

We raise funds mainly through a monthly Pop Up shop called 'Sukie's Scones' in Selkirk, Scottish Borders. We use the funds to feed children in school where we also run a sewing school. We have just opened a new rural school for 50 children who we are also feeding with 2 teachers.

Story

We set up Opportunities Zambia 7 years ago primarily to feed and educate children in Zambia. We built 2 schools starting with a hand operated water pump thanks to the Kitlwalk in 2021 and a third school we finished building and opened. If the kids go to school they get a meal - more than 1000 of them.

We have also set up a chicken farm and a roadside stall with 10 sewing machines to enable the locals to help supporting their village schools. They are making the crafts for me to bring home and sell as well as school uniforms and school bags.

We also fund 12 teachers, our helper Louis who helps Vincent run all our projects, Christine the sewing teacher and Pastor Abraham who visits all our schools.

Vincent would very much like to build one more school in a rural community near Livingstone, Zambia. Thanks to your very kind and generous support we will achieve this in 2023.
