Sully & Cookie run London

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
SULLY & COOKIE ARE TAKING THE PLUNGE AND ARE RUNNING THE 2021 LONDON MARATHON!!!
Despite a total of 4 knee cruciate operations and nearly 90 years between them (both have had easy paper rounds and have easy going, supportive wives) Sully (John Sullivan) and Cookie (Ants Cook) will be running the 2021 London marathon!! As well known for their high pain threshold as they are for their faffing around, both will be putting their bodies on the line on October 4th 2021.
However, over and above just running and training together, they will be doing so for a charity that is close to both their hearts: *Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)*. John’s father, Nick Sullivan, was very
sadly a Multiple System Atrophy sufferer and the condition prematurely and cruelly took his life in 2008. Ant’s father-in-law John Baker also suffered the same disease and he passed away in January 2020.
MSA is a very rare and cruel disease and Nick died aged just 59 and John 69, both having suffered greatly in the later years of their lives. During these later years, the MSA Trust was of great help and support to both families, providing information and assistance for their condition and neither family have ever forgotten the support provided when they needed it most.
Running for MSA in Nick and John’s memories will be a momentous occasion for Sully & Cookie and for all of the connected families. We would hope it will raise awareness as well as being a poignant gesture for other sufferers of the condition.
We want to raise a significant amount for the Trust so please donate if you can! However, it would mean a great deal to us to have lots of small donations from multiple people so we are asking for donations of JUST £10 each. (You can of course give more than £10 if you
choose and of course all contributions will be gratefully appreciated)
All donations will be doubled by our employers so the more you give the more they give!!
BIG LOVE
JOHN “SULLY” SULLIVAN & ANTS “COOKIE” COOK
