Bristol & District Branch Summer Appeal

Summer Appeal · 1 July 2021 to 30 September 2021 ·
The last year has been difficult for us all and as the world starts to open up again we're bracing ourselves for more tough times. Many routine veterinary treatments had to be put on hold during lockdown and this means we are likely to become exceptionally busy as we continue deal with the impact. We are now seeing an increase in cats and kittens who have not been neutered and as many people are now struggling for financial and physical reasons due to the pandemic they may not be able to get them to the vet for this important procedure.
The Bristol & District Branch offer 'assisted neutering' where we pay part of the cost towards neutering. We issue vouchers of either £40 for a female cat or £25 for a male cat. The voucher is put towards the final cost of neutering the cat and the client pays the balance themselves. The cost to neuter a male cat ranges from £30.00 to £65.00 and a female cat from £45.00 to £103.00, depending on the chosen vet. People who are eligible are those on benefits, pensioners, students, and those on low income. 'Full cost neutering' is for cats who have come into our care not neutered and for feral cats . We would very occasionally agree to neuter a cat free of charge if the person had rescued a stray cat for instance.
