Story
The last 18 months have been difficult and unpredictable for all of us - including the cats and kittens in the York area.
The initial lockdown restrictions meant that lots of routine veterinary treatments, including neutering appointments, had to be put on hold. This has led to many more kittens coming through our doors recently from owners who were unable to keep them alongside their existing cats.
We’ve also seen many cats arriving from owners who are no longer financially able to give them the care they need, due to losing their job or being put on furlough.
Thankfully, due to our wonderful supporters in the York area, we’ve been able to help over 280 cats find their forever homes despite the pandemic.
To continue doing this essential work as our Adoption Centre gets busier we need your help.
Donating as little as £10 ensures that we can feed for up to 50 days. A larger donation of £20 covers an initial health check with our vet and a £30 donation can help to cover the cost of antibiotics or painkillers for a cat in our care.
Can you help us to help the cats in our care this summer?
