Story

About the WISHH Sensory room campaign

Each year, the Eye Hospital cares for 15,000 children, delivering a range of acute, routine and tertiary acute services including consultation, specialised imaging and diagnostics, elective and emergency medical and surgical treatments, follow up care, monitoring of eye conditions and delivery of long term treatment programmes. We are raising funds to enable the opening of a sensory room for children with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, ADD, or for children experiencing anxiety or trauma attending the Eye Hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary. Creating a sensory room to include light displays and projections, bubble tubes, wall decorations, sensory toys, music and other features will provide much needed stimulation and help calm and distract children attending the eye clinic, helping to ensure the experience of coming to the hospital is as easy as possible for children with additional needs and their parents/carers.

About Summer Shutdown Fest

3-day online festival will bring you the best in Hull's art, music and lifestyle. It is being planned, organised and delivered by Goodwin Development Trust and the Young People we work with.

Between 31 July and 2 August, we will take the festival to you and raise money for WISHH. We want to raise £500 for this incredible cause. Help us get there. If you can't, don't worry - maybe we can bring you a bit of happiness for a weekend.

More details and the full schedule of arts, dance, music and more to be announced soon. Connect with us on social media to keep updated, get a conversation going with us and take part in competitions in the run up to this ambitious and unique 3-day party!

Let's do something incredible together.
