We educate about mental fitness & stigma to prevent suicide in communities

Story

We have decided to climb numerous peaks across the UK to raise awareness and money for Men’s mental health. Mental health is very close to the groups hearts, with  a couple of us having problems with our own mental health over the years. We hope that our efforts will help to raise awareness and allow males who stay silent to know that... it is OK not to be OK and it is OK to speak about your problems. From some of our personal experiences we know how lucky we are that we had help, but some men just aren’t as lucky. We want this challenge to show that there is always someone out there that you can turn to for help. Climbing these peaks will be nothing in comparison to what these men who feel alone go through on a daily basis.

We are all Salford Red Devils RLFC fans and State of Mind work very closely with Rugby League. For this reason we found State of Mind Sport would fit perfectly for us on a personal level.

Suicide is most common cause of death in males under the age of 35.

State of Mind Sport harness the power of sport to raise awareness about mental health and strive to improve the mental fitness of the population with the goal of preventing suicide.
