**We are raising funds for 18 of these dogs and have a target of £7200 to reach.  Two dogs are fully paid for by another rescue and we are helping them to get home for Christmas and sharing space on the bus. All dogs will be quarantined as per legal guidelines together in both countries.**

We adopted our dog, Sunday, in March 2021. She was saved from a kill shelter at only a few months old, by Milena Malesevic a lone rescuer in Bosnia. After surviving parvovirus and the kill shelter, Sunday was able to come live her best life in London, with the help of amazing Saving Suffering Strays UK volunteers and generous donors from across the world.

U.K. charity Saving Suffering Strays is committed to alleviating the suffering of stray and abandoned dogs in Bosnia across Europe and in the UK. They respond to calls from the public to rescue dogs from the streets and killing stations in Bosnia and offer rescue back up to dogs in need in the U.K. 

This U.K. charity was inspired by the work of 73-year-old lone rescuer Milena Malesevic from Sarajevo, the founder of her own NGO SSSS, who has been rescuing for 30 years and started out a volunteer FB group to support her work. They continue to support her work and raise funds to feed and rehome the dogs that she rescues.

They work tirelessly to advocate for those 4-legged furry friends in Bosnia that cannot speak for themselves.

The amount of joy, love and happiness our pup has brought us cannot be summarized in words. Sunday has been a blessing to us in every way, and she's a constant reminder of all the stray dogs that are out on the streets, just waiting for their warm, safe home and who are waiting to love and be loved. 

This appeal is to help raise funds to save those less fortunate pups that Saving Suffering Strays is aiming to take off the streets of Sarajevo and bring them home to the U.K., where they can live happy, healthy lives.
