Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

In August 2019, one of Nicks family friends Oliver Joynson was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Nick set himself a huge challenge to Stand Up Paddleboard 70KM in a continuous 24 hour period, to help raise some funds for the Joynson family to support Oli and his two young daughters.

Due to COVID-19 we were unable to continue with training and one of the team members had to shield until late 2020, meaning we had to postpone the challenge.

Unfortunately Oli lost his battle to MND in summer 2020, so Nick has teamed up with Hannah Johns from East of England Paddlesports to get the challenge completed.

We will be setting off from Bishop Stortford on 21st August 2021 and paddling to London (Paddington Basin) we will be striving to complete this 70KM paddle within 24 hours.

Nick will be completing this challenge in Oli Joynsons name with funds raised, donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)

Thank you for all your support! every penny helps!
