Story
I work 2 days a week for the NHS. I work in the Diabetic Foot Clinic at the local hospital. I see first hand some of the devastating effects that this disease has on patients and their families. Before I worked at the clinic I didn't realise just how serious this disease is. The fact that it is responsible for 24,000 EXCESS deaths; more deaths occur among people with diabetes than would be expected to occur if their mortality risk was the same as that of the general population.
I want to raise money by spin cycling 84 miles before my 84th birthday which is on May 25th this year ( 2020). I am training now and I intend to start this spin on Saturday May 23rd.
