This raffle Is For This Stunning SIGNED SuperSizeArt Limited Edition Print Of The Specials "Gangsters."

This SIGNED 'The Specials' print has been strictly limited to 75 copies and we have been lucky enough to be kindly donated one by Tonic ambassador Morgan Howell to raise money for the Tonic Rider programme.

In 1979, Jerry Dammers formed 2 Tone Records and The Special AKA released their debut single 'Gangsters', a reworking of Prince Buster's ska hit 'Al Capone'. The song became a Top 10 hit in 1979.The Specials recorded their debut LP in 1979, produced by Elvis Costello. The album lead off with Dandy Livingstone's 'Rudy, A message to you' (slightly reworded) and also Prince Buster and Toots & The Maytals covers from the late 1960s. In 1980, the EP 'Too Much Too Young' (credited to The Special AKA) was a number one hit in the UK Singles Chart, despite controversy over the song's lyrics, which reference teen pregnancy and promote contraception. 

Each £5 donation will entitle you to one virtual ticket, £10 for two and so on.

The Tonic Rider programme supports live music venues across the UK by raising awareness of suicide and mental health issues within the music industry. 

The programme is designed for artists, roadies, managers, promoters, sound crews, production crews and everyone in between. Tonic's aim is to target green rooms, venues across the UK, and to include the Tonic Rider on all rider lists and wall posters. 

The Tonic Rider provides information on coping strategies, anxiety, depression, performance anxiety and post-show blues, along with signposting to services that can help in a crisis. 

By supporting the Tonic Rider, you will be joining Tonic on their mission to raise mental health awareness, challenge stigma and promote mental wellbeing through music and the arts.

  • 100% of any money raised through this raffle will go directly to support the Tonic Rider programme.
  • The auction will run from December 6th 2020 to December 12th 2020 at 12 PM.
  • Tonic is registered charity in England & Wales (1189913)
  • Gift Aid has not been claimed for this event
  • If you purchase a ticket but do not provide your contact details we cannot include you in the raffle and your donation will not be refunded
  • If you enter after the deadline we cannot include you in the raffle and your donation will not be refunded
  • If you pay in another currency we will allocate tickets according to the amount we receive in GBP. We can only allocate one ticket for each multiple of £5 (GBP5) we receive.
  • The draw will be done randomly on December 12th 2020 at 6pm.
  • The winners can decide whether or not they want their name and/or photo to be shared publicly
