Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Stepping Stones International (SSI) is celebrating 15 years of empowering youth in Botswana. To help them celebrate, I am taking part in their 15X$15 Challenge.  For every $15 that is raised, I will walk for 15 minutes every day for the month of October. SSI is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. Rich and I have traveled to Botswana on many occasions to volunteer and work with the youth. It has been a struggle over the last couple of years, due to the pandemic, not to be able to travel to see everyone. Participating in this walk is my opportunity to continue to help.

SSI's mission is to unlock the potential of vulnerable children and youth ages 12-25 through, holistic development, strengthening families, and activating sustainable opportunities to become self-sufficient.

Your donation will support youth in Botswana at one of the most challenging times in their lives; the transition from childhood to adulthood. In order to become a confident, resilient young person, adolescents require specialized educational and psycho-social supports that will help them to realize their full potential.

When you donate to SSI, you help fund priorities such as: life skills education, counseling, nutritional supports, career development, and entrepreneurship training. You will directly help to ensure Botswana's young people can become leaders in their communities.

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented extra challenges to this important work, but the staff at SSI are innovative and adaptive, taking every precaution to keep youth safe and help them reach their full potential.
