Step Up for 30
Campaign by Bowel Cancer UK (RCN 1071038)
Step up for 30 and get sponsored to do 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days. Run, walk, swim, do yoga – it’s up to you! By taking part you’ll be helping us stop bowel cancer.

Story

Based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, we are a team of health professionals delivering the NHS bowel cancer screening programme across Surrey, North Hants and West Sussex to a local population of 1.5 million people.

We also work in alignment with supporting charities who maintain contact with patients and their families beyond diagnosis and throughout treatment. This is often filling in the gaps where other services are challenged.

As a team we are Stepping Up to ensure we meet the minimum target of 30 mins of activity every day for the month of June. Raising funds as we go for Bowel Cancer UK. All progress will be recorded and all team members fully supported.

Activities on our hit list include Surfing, Running, Walking, Spin, Pilates, Gardening, Housework, Tennis, Circuits, Yoga, Cycling, Walking the Dog and Boot Camp. Who knows we may even try our hand at tightrope walking!

Our lunchtime team activity will centre around walking so if you see us in action, come and join in.
