Story
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. - There are hundreds of people still struggling.
Mind believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. Mind will listen, give support and advice, and fight your corner.
When you're experiencing a mental health problem, supportive and reliable information can change your life. That's what Mind do.
We are raising money for Mind as it has impacted our lives through people close us, and to raise awareness.
At the end of September, we will be swimming across the English Channel as a relay team of four. We will start on the beach in Dover and then swim continually, each of us swimming one hour at a time, until we reach France 21 (very long) miles later. We will be following the strict rules and conditions of the Channel Swimming and Piloting Federation (which means no wetsuits!) as we cross one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world and we will have a support boat with us at all times during the 15 or so hour crossing.
We are a team of four, about to fight our way across the channel - and we know there will be hard elements, but knowing this swim will raise money to help save lives will get us through.
Lastly, It needs to be mentioned that we couldn't have attempted this challenge were it not for the extensive knowledge and experience of Sissy Gasson of Surrey Open Swim. Sissy has been coaching us for over a year in her Masters Groups (thank you Sissy!)
Every donation you make - may just help save a life.
Thank you for your support.
Suzanne, Stephen, Matt and Keith.
