Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just giving page.

So on 26th April 2020, I was supposed to be running my first marathon (26.2 miles on short legs!!!) on my 60th birthday!! COVID put a stop to that, but I was still able to take part in the first ever Virtual London Marathon on October 4th 2020 in the pouring rain!! However, we were all given the opportunity to defer to one of the next three years to be able to actually run in London. I was allocated 2022, but all my running buddies were allocated 2021! FOMO and having no one to train with (I do need company on a run!) convinced me that I had to sign up for 2021 as well!! So now this once in a lifetime opportunity which I planned to train for over a period of six months has become a marathon in itself! Looks like three years of training on and off and one more marathons to do!

I am continuing to raise funds for MK SNAP (Milton Keynes Special Needs Advancement Project) which is a brilliant local charity supporting people with learning disabilities. Their amazing education programme helps them develop the confidence and skills to live more independent lives.

I'd be very grateful if you'd help me raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity by donating through this page.
