Story

Dear lovely friends
You are warmly invited to Joe’s walk and BBQ supper on Sunday afternoon/evening June 26.
This is a fundraising event for the charity The Compassionate Friends.
Venue: St. Katharine's Charity House, Parmoor, Frieth, Nr Henley-on-Thames, RG9 6NN.

Meet for walk (about 4 miles) 2.00-2.30pm
There are several great pubs en route which can be frequented.
Pimms/tea/soft drinks in garden from 4.00pm
Followed by BBQ at 6pm.
All welcome including family members, friends, kids and dogs.

Come for all or part of the day.
If you don't fancy the walk just join us later for refreshments.

So please join us for a lovely walk in scenic Chiltern Hills, drinks and food in .the beautiful gardens of St Katharine's and some convivial company.

Please email me on shughes@webmd.net to let me know how many people would like food  (I need exact numbers for catering)  and if there are any vegetarians in your party.    And please make a donation on this page.   I am suggesting a minimum donation of £20 per person.

Joe's Walk and Supper is held in memory of our wonderful son who left us very suddenly aged 11 in 2008.  You don't have to have known Joe to come. Just enjoy the day with friends and family and support a great cause at the same time.

All funds raised this year will again go to The Compassionate Friends (TCF), a wonderful organisation that supports parents who have lost a child. All bereaved parents themselves, members of TCF offer friendship, support and hope to others who are trying to live on without their son or daughter. They do a great job with very limited resources. I found them a real lifeline.

Hope you can make it.
Thanks
Sue
