Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Susan was 54 when she passed away;  a shockingly young age following a 2 year battle with Cancer.

Sue thankfully had a period of remission and a "normal" life with husband Graham and son Greg.  3 weeks before she passed away, she complained of indigestion and her health rapidly went down hill from that  point.. She was cared for in Manchester Royal Infirmary with Macmillan nurse support.

Sue was in a lot of pain towards the end, but the palliative care offered by the NHS and Macmillan provided  her with relief, a good deal of dignity and the opportunity to say her goodbyes to family and friends.

In the very sad circumstances, it is of some comfort that Sue was cared for so well at the end of her life.
