Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Susan was 54 when she passed away; a shockingly young age following a 2 year battle with Cancer. Sue thankfully had a period of remission allowing a "normal" life with husband Graham and son Greg.
3 weeks before Sue passed away, she complained of indigestion and her health rapidly went down hill from that point.. She was cared for in Manchester Royal Infirmary with Macmillan nurse support.
It was Sue's wish to spend her last few days in the Wigan & Leigh Hospice, rather than at home. Unfortunately, her deterioration was so rapid that Sue didn't make it to the hospice.
With the support and palliative care provided by the NHS and Macmillan nurses, Sue had the opportunity to say her goodbyes to family and friends.
It now seems appropriate to make donations to the Wigan & Leigh Hospice in Susan's memory.
