Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Amy, Emily and Josef wanted to run a marathon on the anniversary of Catherine's death and raise funds for the hospice that mean't so much to her. Ironically they managed to find one in her home country - Ireland being held on the first anniversary of the day she lost her battle with cancer in 2017. Although not running the marathon Sue will be joining the 10k run/walk in her memory.
Keech Hospice Care provided the most amazing support to Catherine after she received her terminal diagnosis in 2015 and her weekly visits became sacrosanct. In Catherine's words "For me Keech is a life saver because when I came to the hospice for the first time I was thinking life was not worth living. But from the moment I walked in the door, Keech has helped me. There is just so much empathy. It’s not a sad place. It has shown me that I have a life to live and should enjoy it"
As with most hospice organisations they rely heavily on donations and so we are hoping to be able to support this with kind donations.
