To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Caring Matters Now, we are taking part in the final leg of the Liverpool - London Trek. Together we will be joining the teams trekking the 25 year Journey of Caring Matters Now, from Liverpool, the birthplace of Caring Matters Now, to London, where the ground-breaking CMN research lab and patient clinic is based. Please sponsor us and help us to continue supporting those that are affected by CMN.

Caring Matters Now has been a huge support to Elspeth who was born with CMN, has birthmarks that cover 25% of her body; for others it can be as much as 80%. After experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions following her birth, she had an MRI at just 2 weeks old and we were told that her CMNs were benign and likely to remain so.

Since the age of 4 she has been attending family support days, PGL activity weekends, CMN conferences and most recently Alton Towers to celebrate 25 birthday of the charity. She has made great friendships and as a family we have found great support and reassurance.

Now 17, Elspeth has completed her training to be an ambassador for the charity and is looking forward to giving support to others.

She has also given biopsies to help with the valuable research carried out by Dr Veronica Kinsler and her amazing team as she is the proud owner of a miracle skin correcting molecule!

As mum, sister, godmum and good pals we are joining Elspeth and supporting her in her journey with CMN.

We know many of you have supported us before - there has been  a lot of running, walking with always huge quantities of cake being involved but this time it’s mums and daughters for the first time!

As before,  we would be incredibly grateful for any donation small or large to help CMN continue its fantastic work.
