The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Government advice is now that we should wear face coverings when we go into shops, etc. I have been making some fabric ones for my family, and I am now so well into the swing of it that I'd like to keep going. I was wondering if there are any (particularly elderly, or vulnerable) people who would like one or two made for them, in the BS9 area of Bristol? If so, drop me a message or contact me via facebook!

I volunteer with Ocean Youth Trust South regularly, as a second mate onboard their boat Prolific, and have seen first hand how important the work they do is. OYT South runs sail training trips with groups of young people, many of whom are disadvantaged or vulnerable. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, and grow in confidence.

OYT South has been very hard hit by the coronavirus outbreak - obviously all voyages have had to be suspended for the foreseeable future, but costs such as vessel upkeep and maintenance continue. The 2.6 challenge aims to raise money for charities affected by these circumstances, which is why my current target is £260. If you have any questions about the charity, campaign, or my fundraising, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
