Messengers of Hope. The University in God’s Story. 

We live in a world that is in need of hope. Jesus meets us, as he did the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and brings us hope; a hope that transforms our lives so that we become messengers of hope in and for the university.

This is our theme for the World Assembly in July 2019 in South Africa where IFES representatives from over 150 countries will gather to encourage and learn from one another and to listen to God's Word together. This is a crucial meeting that happens only every four years. It has had a positive impact around the world every time it happened. Lives are changed. I had the privilege of attending the last two World Assemblies in Poland and Mexico and it was amazing and shaped and challenged me.

I would like to see as many staff and students as possible attend World Assembly who otherwise are not able to afford to come. I would like all of us to become messengers of hope.
